Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. Ali MacGraw is known for films such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Born and raised in an artistic family located in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. She began as a photo assistant and then moved on to modeling and acting. Her first two movies she received recognition and won the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw was a household name following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. She was named the best female box-office actress in the world in just three movies. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater engraved her autograph with handprints, foot prints and handprints in the year 1972. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she played a part in the tv series The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was published. MacGraw married three people.
