Hayley Orantia is an American singer, actress and acrobat. She is most famous for her role as Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy series "The Goldbergs". Although she's a singer, her primary passion is music. She maintains that music is her primary passion. It is something she is experimenting with since she was nine years old. As she grew to 12 old, music was taken seriously enough to warrant professional training. Following a few attempts at writing songs, she recorded the album with songs at age fourteen. From then on, she has not ever looked back. Orrantia was born in America, has Hispanic ancestry. Although she never lived or spoke Spanish in Mexico, she still feels very proud about her Hispanic culture. She endeavours to preserve it by studying Spanish as well as writing songs using the language. "Hasta Verte," which she composed in Spanish is an example of this. Orrantia was a part of The X Factor season 1's auditions in the summer of 2011. Orrantia was awarded 4 "yeses" to the panel of judges on the Seattle live audition stage following getting selected based on her YouTube video submission. Her initial audition was for solo performance, but in "Hollywood week" she was placed with three other female vocalists into a trio for the remaining auditions. The group was eliminated at final show.
